The speaker for this TED talk is yet another brilliant poet! Malcolm London produced a stage that hits everyone that went through high school. All the twist and turns, the rough patches, the nostalgic scenes that run though our heads… It’s all in this 3-minute video!
And I agree! Looking back, high school was a training ground! Whatever experience we had during that time or whoever we were with it has been training us for the bigger picture after… It was a time to grow and learn to move through the unpredictable future.
Somehow, we had to know what it was to deal with the mean people to know that in the future, they might be the people you work with or worse, your boss!
And homework doesn’t seem much compared to the actual work of being and adult is.
I encourage you all to take 3 minutes of your time and watch the video above to remind us to be thankful for the experiences (pleasant or not) that made us who we are today!
